Embracing Inspiration and Weather Wonders (8/12/24)

Throughout the day, the thought of writing my daily post kept popping into my mind. I kept thinking of various topics I could write about. Whether it was excitement or something else, I’m going to embrace it. Today was a pretty normal work and home day. I’ve been dreaming of conducting some experiments for work. While they wouldn’t impact my job directly, I think it would be really cool to publish some white papers on HVAC. Specifically, I want to test how hot capacitors get under different loads. I’ve been reading up on how to structure a paper for this and realized I might need to acquire a thermal camera to get accurate temperature readings.

After dinner, I took Dakota for a short walk. His foot is looking much better today, though not completely healed—maybe another week or so. It was chilly during our walk, which was surprising for early August. It feels like fall already, but I think the heat will return soon. The weather has been so unusual these past few years, changing rapidly and extremely. People still say global warming doesn’t exist, but I remember doing tornado drills in elementary school. They made us kneel and cover our heads, which never seemed very helpful. Back then, I had zero fears of tornadoes because our area never got them. But in the last two years, we’ve had several pop up within miles of my house. Now, I’m much more cautious about the weather.

Well, that was my weather rant for the day.

Till tomorrow.
